With all the scandals turning up in Washington, we often forget the last scandal as a new one appears. Weather its Benghazi, the IRS, Fast and Furious or the NSA, the American people are the ones that truly suffer in the end. This day, August 8th, marks the 29th anniversary of the resignation of President Richard Nixon. The Watergate scandal, which brought an end to the Nixon administration, was when members of Nixon’s reelection committee were arrested for wiretapping the Democratic National Committee headquarters. Sometimes we think Washington is getting worse and worse, which it may be, but sadly scandals have always had a place in the capital.
